Parisian Joseph Altuzarra attended Swarthmore College in Pennsylvia where he earned a BA in Art and Art History. After completing his studies at Swarthmore Joseph moved to New York where he was hired as a design intern at Marc Jacobs studio. Altuzarra also did freelance design work for Proenza Schouler and in 2006 became a design assistant for Givenchy working with Riccardo Tisci. During his time in Paris Joseph decided to launch his own collection which he did in 2009 after moving back to NY.

Joseph Altuzarra parisiens ont assisté à Swarthmore College Pennsylvia où il a obtenu un baccalauréat en Art et Histoire de l’art. Après avoir terminé ses études à Swarthmore, Joseph s’installe à New York où il a été embauché comme stagiaire de conception chez Marc Jacobs studio. Altuzarra également effectué des travaux de conception à la pige pour Proenza Schouler, et en 2006 devient assistant de conception pour travailler avec Givenchy Riccardo Tisci. Pendant son séjour à Paris, Joseph décide de lancer sa propre collection dont il a fait en 2009 après son retour à New York.
