Raphael Young Spring/Summer ‘09

This is the Satsuma from Raphael Young. Mr. Young launched his shoe collection in Fall ‘07 and was taught how to make shoes by his uncle Alexander Darcy who worked for YSL. Raphael Young also created haute couture shoe prototypes for Hermes, Givenchy and M. Vionnet. This season’s collection is influenced by feudal Japan through its emphasis on wood heels and architectural shapes.
