I received an email this morning from Antony Baker with pictures of Sophia Kokosalaki’s 2009 Fall Collection. Ms. Kokosalaki graduated from Central Saint Martins and launched her collection in 1999 during London Fashion Week. Sophia also was the chief designer for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, overseeing all costumes for the opening and closing ceremonies and the uniforms for both the teams and officials. In addition to designing her collection Sophia also collaborated on a capsule collection with Topshop and sold a controlling interest of her company to the Only the Brave Group headed by Renzo Rosso, founder of Diesel. Take a look at this flamboyant platform from Michael Lewis’ debut collection. Mr. Lewis graduated from Central Saint Martins in London and designed for Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Burberry. Michael was also a creative consultant for Kurt Geiger before launching his label. In addition, to working on his line Mr. Lewis also consults on the Luella, Loewe and Jaeger London footwear lines.

I received an email this morning from Mr. Viguer, VP of Sales & Marketing for Raphael Young with pictures of their 2009 Fall Collection. Raphael’s 2009 Spring Collection was inspired by feudal Japan but for this season his eyes is definitely towards the future with his focus on shiny leathers and architectural, cut-out heels.
